History

Sedefi Comerc is one of the leading and oldest confectionery companies in Kosovo. Founded in 1990, Sedefi is a family business, owned and managed by two brothers, specializing in the production of biscuits/cookies, turkish delight and sugar packaging. The initial activities of the company started in the early '90s mainly in the trade sector in Peja, while in 1994 the first production line of sugar cubes was established. Since then, the company continued to expand in terms of capacity and product variety. The next development was undertaken in 2000 where Sedefi started with the production of Turkish delight then in 2004 in the production of various cookies. In 2016, the company relocated to new premises of 3,300 square meters (Vitomirica village, Peja suburb).

In 2016 Sedefi opened the new factory with high standards and the modern production lines in Vitomiricë of Peja. The plan of the facility is built to create the most suitable conditions for production and staff. In 2019 Sedefi has invested in solar panels in order to contribute to a cleaner environment. With the investment, the company intends to use renewable energy for all of its production.
